I was so happy to read you are in my native country and just living life with an “ojála!” type of mind 🇨🇴 I think the tattoo is such a beautiful reminder to always keep hope close by. I am also curious if you meant Alicante, Spain? Or is there an Alicante in South America too that I missed?
Hi Helen! I am actually no longer in Columbia (though I miss it so dearly); I flew over the Atlantic so that I could walk the Camino Portugués in Portugal & Spain! But I am so happy to have you here; Columbia was such a wonderful country and I felt so at home there, I can’t wait to go back 💕
It’s not the same but I’ve been on sickleave with burn out (I work at an online grocery store as a data analyst) for 5 months. I spent those months mostly on healing practices and living slowly, so was worried exactly like you are before coming back. Now that I’m back, a part of me is enjoying working much more than before, because I have learned to listen to myself and put boundaries in my time off, I know what feels good and what doesn’t now. But of course, a lot of things don’t feel good so another part wonders if I can every work at a tech company again.
Sorry for hijacking your wall with my personal problems :) Hope this helps.
Thank you for sharing this! It’s really great to hear about your experience of returning. I’m glad that you were able to figure out healthy boundaries - I always struggled with that too. It really is amazing how much we learn about ourselves when we have the time to rest and grow.
That sounds lovely , I love Spain. Enjoy !

This is amazing! I’m so glad you’ve been able to stay curious; life can be boring without it 😶
